Gated Community of Forests

Bamboo has the potential to transform whole societies with its lucrative prospects as a farming enterprise while providing many business opportunities and a tremendous boost to wealth and employment creation. The "Gated Community of Forests” is one of the two main vehicles through which we develop bamboo plantations, with the intention of creating sufficient volumes in close enough areas to support world-class bamboo factories. Through this concept, we get investors to co-own forests through leasing or outright purchase of land on which the company plants and maintains bamboo forests on their behalf. It starts with the company finding land that is suitable for bamboo farming in designated areas that are close enough to the proposed factory sites, subdividing it into two-acre parcels for purchase and five or 10-acre blocks for lease, then offering them to investors on easy payment terms.

*prices can change at any time without notice. For the purchase option, the buyers get a title deed for their land (the forest is managed as one whole unit despite the multiple owners) while for the lease, they get a 25 to 30-year sub-lease. The company plants and fully maintains the forests and undertakes to market the produce once it is ready. Stakeholders in the plantations will be encouraged to invest in the factories so that they are part of the whole integration. Kenyans both in the country and in the diaspora have warmly embraced the concept.
